The presentation provides an outline for the requirements of a company and its personnel to perform special inspections. A general overview of various non-destructive testing methods and inspection techniques as they relate to the structural steel industry will also be presented.
About Our Speakers: Michael Lieb, Special Inspector of Urban Engineers, has been active in the QA/QC industry for 15 years. He currently holds multiple ASNT NDT Level III certifications along with AWS SCWI and ICC Certifications. He has performed global supplier qualifications and inspections in accordance with various codes including AWS, ASME, and API. He has worked on various signature projects such as Barnes Art Museum, 62 story Comcast Technology Center, and Saudi Aramco / Dow Chemical Al Jubail, KSA Ethylene Plant.
Michael Lieb, Sr., owner and operator of Lieb Inspection & Testing, Inc. since 1988, has over 40 years of structural steel fabrication, erection, welding, NDT, bolting, coatings, spray fireproofing, and metals experience. Michael holds various industry certifications including AWS CWI, ICC, and multiple NDT certifications. Also, Lieb Inspection & Testing, Inc. is an IAS Accredited Special Inspection Firm. Michael has worked on many signature projects in the Tri-State area including The World Trade Center Transportation Center, The World Trade Center Tower 3, University of Pennsylvania, Villanova University, National Museum of American Jewish History, The Barnes Foundation, Lincoln Financial Field and The Walt Whitman Bridge.
Troy Termyna, Lieb Inspection & Testing, Inc.'s Senior Inspector has over 9 years of structural steel fabrication, erection, welding, NDT, bolting, coatings, and metals experience. Troy holds various industry certifications including AWS CWI, ICC, and multiple NDT certifications. Troy has worked on many signature projects in the Tri-State area such as the University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, Ursinus College, St. Joseph's University, Philadelphia Food Distribution Center, King of Prussia Mall Expansion, Kalahari Resort, Lit's Building LED Roof Sign Project and Lincoln Financial Field.
