 Active Fall Protection in General Industry         

 Presented By:  Ryan Firkser, PE, SE, CSP of Mainstay Engineering Group, Inc.

Active fall protection is no longer relegated to the construction site and is becoming more commonplace in the day-to-day operations of our clients. From anchorage layout to anchorage design loads, Ryan's intent with this presentation is to layout the fundamentals for active fall protection so that the engineering community is better able to serve our clients and to keep people safe.   

About Our Speaker: 
Ryan Firkser, PE, SE, CSP is a graduate of Lehigh University and is currently a structural engineer at Mainstay Engineering Group, Inc. where he heads their Cherry Hill, NJ office. He started his career with Mainstay over a decade ago and has leveraged his foundation in conventional structural engineering and overall building design into directly helping end users achieve their maintenance, operational and business continuity goals through small to medium sized project execution.

Working primarily in the pharmaceutical, biotech, manufacturing, petrochemical and industrial market sectors has led to a wide breadth of ever changing and evolving experience. Fall protection, particularly active systems, in general industry applications is one particular field where he has encountered a great deal of confusion, not only in real word practice but at the owner level and within the design disciplines.
